Rajveer Vikram Malhotra is a man in his late 20's living a comfortable life in America away from his toxic family in India. Listening to his aunt's (bua's) advice, he rarely ever visited India until he got a text from his bua that Kirti, his cousin whom he grew up with like a sibling, was getting married. This struck Rajveer as an utter surprise as Kirti told Rajveer practically every little detail about her daily life. It shocked Rajveer that they decided on everything without even informing Rajveer. Though, he wished not to visit India and yet again encounter his shitty family, he booked tickets as he could not miss his sister's wedding for the world. Reaching there he couldn't find his bua or Kirti anywhere. The unusually sweet family members explained that they had gone for a ritualistic visit to a temple which was to be visited by the parents of every girl who gets married in their family. The family members explained that they will be back a night before the wedding which obviously, did not happen. Kirti's wedding never happened. It was never Kirti's wedding to begin with. It was Rajveer's. A forced marriage that he had no idea about and that too.....with a MAN!? All of these characters, cities and events are purely fictional and are my own. Any resemblance to anyone alive or dead or a work of writing by another writer or author is a pure coincidence. NOTE- I am aware that same sex marriages are illegal in India and aren't recognised, though for the sake of the story I would like you all to think that same sex marriages are legal, just a little taboo to talk about. Thank you very much.
