Sonic used to have a normal, happy life, but things somehow turned upside down for him when he was assaulted, which caused him to lose his only friend/rivals. Forced into witness protection and disappeared entirely. Five years later, Sonic felt like a bad omen had been trailing him since that day, bringing nothing but misfortune throughout his life. Just when he believed his life couldn't get any worse, the bad omen revealed itself not as a curse but as someone whose only goal was to make him his and his only.

Sonic has been hunting down Shadow for years. Shadow is an infamous wanted criminal, the money rewarded in his bounty would completely turn around the small, run down town Sonic lived in. Sonic sought to capture Shadow and turn him in for the money. Shadow has been living the outlaw life for years, and he has grown accustomed to it. He and his gang lived for the thrill of stealing and harming anyone that got in their way. However, that all changed when they raided the wrong village. Sonic managed to capture Shadow during his raid and held him captive in prison over night before setting forth on his journey to the large town that was a few days ride away from the small village. During their journey, things quickly turned south. A thunderstorm poured down on them and the thunder spooked Sonic's horse, making it slip on the slick mud and send them tumbling down into the gaping mouth of a large canyon. Now Sonic and Shadow must find a way to work together and get out of the canyon before they both end up dying. Though, as the two were forced to work together, deeper feelings began to burn between them. Feelings that get in the way of Sonic's goal of capturing the outlaw. Cover art does not belong to me! Shadow a black-furred hedgehog was washed up from the shore after a fight with the demons at bay, defeated by Black Doom's army. He was found surely after by the locals in the near by area. Awoken inside a tent, discovering bandages wrapped on his body. He'd realize he landed on small island. A cult with a biocentrism belief; claiming their life and soul involved around the natures of the earth. The leader told Shadow to repay their act of service by joining and marrying one of the members, in which Shadow heavily denied. The leader then offered that he can only stay for the cult's 7 Day festival. As the days begun, one particular hedgehog caught his eye.

After Shadow fails a high-stakes G.U.N. mission, the organization turns on him. Stripped of his Chaos energy and held prisoner for three agonizing months, he endures torture, isolation, and silence. When he finally escapes, he was found by the last person he expected to see again: Sonic, the one who promises to help him recover what was stolen. But as the journey unfolds, Shadow begins to question: is regaining his powers the same as regaining himself?

Sonic lived a happy life, until his parents died, he now lives with his new mother Vanilla the rabbit but still hasn't forgotten about his sad past life. (This is kind of a sad story requested by one of my friend)
