The van der Linde gang has taken shelter deep in the snowy mountains in an old mining camp known as Colter, following their botched robbery in the town of Blackwater. They are cold, hungry and unsure of what their futures hold. As Arthur Morgan is out desperately trying to track down game to bring back and feed to the starving gang he stumbles across an animal unlike any even he, in all of his travels, has ever seen before. In the process of finding out the unique story behind it he meets a woman. He can't decide if this woman's presence in the same desolate, snow covered wilderness as he and the gang are in is mere coincidence or if there's more behind it than she's letting on. If it is pure coincidence that she's there than what is she doing alone on this frozen mountain? Whatever has brought her into his life he isn't sure but what he does know is he can't get her image out of his mind. Her bright red hair along with her piercing gaze that seems to stare right through him. As he attempts to find out more about her he convinces himself it's strictly out of caution. It's his responsibility to make sure that she's harmless and poses no threat to them but somehow deep down he already knows the only thing she poses a threat to is his heart.
