I got a (damaged) copy of Godey's Lady's Book and Magazine, and I'm going to use Wattpad to copy some of the patterns from the work sections and then hopefully translate them into something useable to a modern knitter/crocheter. This is purely recreational, and I will update it as I have the time and motivation to do so. Do not pester me about it, but if you are a crafter with useful insight, feel free to share it in the comments. I'll try to remember to space it out so that all stays organized.

I crochet for a hobby, so I thought I would put some of my own little designs in a book of its own, just so people could have a go at making them. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did designing them. I don't mind if people sell the items, but don't copy my written pattern to sell as your own .

All patterns in this book are for a size medium to large.

An assortment of crochet patterns I have written. I'll add more as I come up with them. For every pattern, I always use my beginning tail as my stitch counter for the beginning/end of every row. Instead of a magic ring, I simply chain 2 and use the first chain as my magic ring. Wherever possible, I tend to use rounds or ovals. I don't care for straight edge patterns as mine never seem to turn out evenly. I can't say why and, as I've been crocheting for nearly fifty years, it's not for lack of practice. I always work in the back/third bump of any chain I use, and I always use each loop of the end chain on my project to turn the corner. I am also never happy with my final results and will often go back to change this or that detail. I suggest using these patterns as guides rather than strict instructions.
