nico's a demon, will's an angel, and they fall in love during a war. what could possibly go wrong? intentional lowercase for the description; the actual fic has proper capitalization. the writing is pretty bad and the plot is all over the place but it's cutesy sometimes so knock yourselves out. if swearing bothers you, skip the author's notes because i swear sometimes. the actual fic has no strong language.

Nico di Angelo is a normal 16 year old boy. Or so people thought. Behind closed doors, Nico is a depressed teen dealing with his abusive boyfriend Nathaniel. One day, the abuse becomes too much and Nico runs into the woods in seek of escape. What he didn't realize is, there is more creatures in the forest he's grown up near almost all his life. Will Solace is a normal 18 year old. In his world that is. Will is a werewolf. He is the heir to his father's throne. As the Alpha's son, he needs a mate in order to rule the pack and carry on the Alpha generation. But, each werewolf is linked with another person at birth. The parents have nothing to do with it. He was supposed to find his mate at age 16, but he hasn't. His wolf, Sol, has been saying he feels like the werewolf females are not his type. And when his parents allow him to meet werewolf males, he still doesn't feel any connection to any of them. When he sees a small male human brought forcefully into the pack, he suddenly feels something he hadn't felt before. A mate's connection. But, how would Will's pack react to having a human alpha? Nico is a thief, and Will is a prince, and they are very doomed. Really, it probably started when Nico robbed the king. Or maybe when he winked at the prince from across the marketplace. Or maybe when he orchestrated thrilling castle escapes, humiliating the royal family and guard without so much as breaking a sweat. Or, maybe it was just when he first noticed that Prince William is incredibly handsome. Yeah, that's probably what doomed them, actually--because after that, any hope of living relatively normal lives flew completely out the carriage window.
