This story right here is my baby! But I feel like I've neglected it for far too long. I just recently decided to start this new account for a fresh start and to be more invested into my writing again. This has been my 4th Wattpad account, and this story has been with 3 of those accounts. If you read this one before, I Highly recommend giving it another read because I plan on diving back into it, possibly making some changes, not to drastic, but more of where I feel in my mind it should go. Please stay tuned for what's to come ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Three teens Chy'Ann, Khari, & Chace all grew up in the same neighborhood yet headed on different paths. They've each been through their share of shit but nothing could prepare them for what's to come...

Alton, a young chef just three years out of culinary school, lands a spot at Alonzo's De'Lic, one of the top-tier restaurants in Philadelphia. Six days a week, he endures the relentless pressure of the kitchen and the sharp tongue of the head chef, a man who seemed to have it out for him from the moment he walked through those doors. Determined to prove himself, Alton pours everything into his craft, leaving no room for a social life or any life outside the restaurant at all. Just across the street, Elizabeth, a young librarian with an appetite for a good story and even better food, has made Alonzo's De'Lic her personal haven. For three years, she's tasted nearly every dish the menu had to offer, always promising herself to try something new the next day. It became a quiet ritual, one she couldn't imagine giving up. But fate has a way of stirring the pot. An unexpected incident will bring Alton and Elizabeth together in a way that neither could have predicted. After years of being separated by the kitchen doors, what will finally cause them to swing open, and what happens when their eyes meet for the very first time?
