Emerson has always thought she would become a Phoenix Rider. There was no doubt she would be going to the University of Sky. What Emerson was not ready for was being chosen by a dragon instead. Lana was told she needed to become a dragon rider but she wanted anything else. Being chosen by a Thunderbird was the best thing for her. Even if it angered her parents. Students at UOS are being murdered and Emerson and Lana almost seem to be at the heart of it. Between studying and flying, they certainly have their hands full. But it also seems like they have a very big target on their backs.
