Just another One Piece reaction fic! In this one, Nika gathers a bunch of people together to watch their future! After defeating the emperor of the sea kaido in Wano and becoming an empeor himself, Monkey D Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates continue their adventure roaming the seas. One day a surprising event happens. They find two Luffys, one in his base form, the other in his newly awakened Gear Five form.

After the world shattering events of Marineford, the Strawhats have now come to see the great need to become stronger. They have seen the might of the demon Luffy harbors and despite the fear they felt that day... not one will ever back down after seeing the true power that shines just like the sun. They have chosen to master their will and wield it to accomplish their dreams. Now going to each other's islands they will push their limits and train to obtain haki.

Thought this was an interesting concept and couldn't find any good fanfiction, except for one that got discontinued, this is inspired after that. Fanfiction is inspired from "When the Tides Come In" by Dio Warwhal. Characters and settings belong to Eiichiro Oda. There will be no romance. This is an after-canon fic. I'll refer to marine Luffy ace M. Luffy or Marine Luffy, and pirate Luffy as P. Luffy or Pirate Luffy.

(First and foremost, let me state that, no, this does *NOT* contain any spoilers about One Piece besides the name. In fact, only 2 One Piece figures are mentioned in this mythology. I myself detest manga spoilers; I wouldn't do anyone dirty like that. Now for the reason why I made this and what it's about: ) I heard that Joyboy is an actual legend from South American/Jamaican mythology that inspired Oda (the author of One Piece), along with Tom and Jerry and other sources. A warrior who was a champion of the slaves, as he set them free and blessed them with freedom. I wanted to see what the original Joyboy was like in our Earth's mythological history of him. However, try as I might, I could not find any stories that mentioned a Joyboy or Nika or a warrior of liberation. I'm not sure how Oda came across the legend/mythology, but I am forever beyond grateful that he did. But grateful as I am, that left me slightly unsatisfied. So, I decided to write Joyboy as a mythology story myself, like the ones from Greece, Egypt, Norse, Hawaiian, African, etc., that we read in class. My language may need some work, but this is how I believe Joyboy's mythology would be told if he had the same recognition as Percious, Horus, Thor, Anansi, Moui, etc. It is my deepest wish and hope that either lots of people who never watched/read One Piece enjoy this and remain spoiler-free, One Piece fans get a kick out of this, and potentially that Oda himself will take/find amusement in this attempt at literally writing history.

The Straw Hat crew arrives on a strange glowing island rumored to worship a mysterious deity called the Laughing Sun - a god described exactly like Luffy. The moment Luffy steps onto the sand, he vanishes without a trace. Ace and Law, who stayed on the ship for unknown reasons, immediately feel Luffy's presence shift into something ancient and overwhelming. The crew searches the island and meets villagers who describe their god as: - a boy with a bright smile - a trickster who bends the world - a giant of light - a being who disappears and reappears at will Every description matches Luffy perfectly, but the crew refuses to accept it at first. Meanwhile, Chopper is separated from the group and taken by the villagers, who treat him as "the healer of the Sun God." --- I don't own One piece and i only made this story for fun

Luffy touches an ancient relic connected to Joy Boy and becomes completely emotionless - cold, distant, brutally honest, and reckless because he no longer cares about anything. The Straw Hats panic and try everything, but nothing works. They call Ace, who rushes to help, but even he can't reach Luffy. The crew sails to Elbaf, where the giants send them to the Elder of Memory. The Elder reveals that Luffy's emotions weren't erased - they were sealed behind an ancient wall. To break the curse, Luffy must experience a powerful emotional shock strong enough to pierce the barrier. If he doesn't feel anything before the next full moon... he will stay emotionless forever.

The story starts in the place where Luffy's journey starts, and Luffy's past will be revealed slowly. - WARNINGS: more serious/strong Luffy. mentality problems. Sad scenes. Some information may not be super accurate as I don't 100% know one piece that well. Bloody/fighting scenes (not too bad). No ships, but there are 'maybe' some wholesome scenes. ⚠️THE PICTURES ARE NOT MINE⚠️ - SUMMARY: Luffy was a normal boy until he'd eaten the gum gum fruit by accident. The powers and troubles that came with it however, were a bit different to its description... ⚠️the story has been discontinued until further notice⚠️

This is a story where Luffy ate two fruits that are the Avatar-Avatar fruit and Gomu-Gomu no mi, a Logia class devil fruit and a paramecia/Zoan mythical type, and became a elemental man with rubber powers. Luffy also showed signs of Haki at a young age so Shanks decided to take him with them to train Luffy. Godlike Luffy! More serious/smart Luffy who acts more like a captain.
