Minami Kano was a detective working overtime in Tokyo to help sustain herself. Her mother had left her with her stepdad and brother when she was sixteen and now she has to work twice as hard to survive in the borderlands and rely on strangers to hopefully have someone by her side. Sunato Banda was a murder, one that Minami had actually worked cases about. He's very secretive about his family life just like Minami and seems colder than most people she had met in the borderlands. Both met by a mutual friend and would always be by each-other, not by choice. This eventually lead Minami to start falling for him though she didn't trust him as much.
