Grians sick, and the bad boys are very bad at taking care of sick people. The town mom steps up to take care of him after finding him in a creator. Her eldest son Scar seems to have taken a liking to the man. Scar starts to remember, remember third life, he remembers how close he and Grian had been and wants that relationship back, he would do anything to get it back. Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense. A YHS/Hermitcraft fanfic. Angsty. There's some mild Grumbo shipping but it could just be seen as platonic. Also Scar/Cub shipping, but only really at the very end and you can ignore it if you want. Trigger warnings: death loops, permadeath, Sam being Sam, manipulation, self hatred, torture, general angsty stuff. There's a happy ending though!
