He expected to be the national champion, and he was. Not only that but he won many awards of excellence in fencing. He likes to pride himself as the best swordsman in all of France. He knows how to use a rapier, to a long sword. So, one would assume he's very adaptable. In reality, Polneraff doesn't like to be caught off gaurd, not by anyone or anything. Of course in life you can't avoid the unpredictable. The one thing though, he never expected was to have a withdrawn, Egyptian history student, be head over heels for the fencer. Jean is used to having fans and dealing with thier puppy-love, but will find that life has more unpredictable factors to throw his way. Including him catching feelings for that history student. A vampire has tourmented polnareffs village for ages, ancestors before polnareff have attempted to hunt the vampire to no avail. Each have used at the hands of the vampire, finally polnareff is so close to ending the vampire, he was going to end this but to his surprise the hunter became the hunted.
