Dilana is a small town orphan. Her mom died when she was five and her father ran away after that. She knew that she was different but didn't realize how different until she landed in a foster home with vampires.

Anastasia is just the usual teenage girl. She moves away from all of her friends right before she starts high school. Now she has to make new friends in a new state. She lives only with her mom. Doesn't remember her dad. As soon as she arrives at her new school she feels like an outcast. Her life changes in many ways in a matter of days. High school can be rough.
