This story is set sometime in early 2000 after Hope and Stefano were rescued from Princess Gina's castle but before Hope gave birth to JT. This story sets out to set right the wrongs of subsex and investigates what might have happened during Marlena's missing years. Was she really comatose the whole time and if so, why did Stefano remind her that he taught her how to play chess when they were in Maison Blanche? This story is inspired in part by the movie The Long Kiss Goodnight and by the fact that I always thought Gina and John being art thieves was kinda lame. This is a long, long story and it's a bit of a wild ride. I hope you enjoy it!

This is a sequel to The Exchange Variation. Set sometime in late 2000, Marlena and her family are recovering from the after-effects of her stint as Grace. But when Carrie disappears en route to visit with her family, it quickly becomes apparent that Stefano is once again on the loose and determined to wreak further havoc in Roman (RoJohn) and Marlena's lives. Marlena and Roman (RoJohn) are forced to play a game of cat and mouse across Europe, delving deep into Marlena's past and reliving her exploits as Grace as they race to secure Carrie's safety and determine their fates.

Coming back from Mexico, Marlena decided to move on with her life alone, leaving John confused and Roman angry. Just remember, sometimes you have to sin to find heaven.
