The two men momentarily turned their gazes back to young Kyja, who was too occupied following the winged insect. Compassion soon struck the wizard's heart. "Yet... there is someone that could care for her. He is an odd fellow, relates more to animals than any other living creature- but he is genuinely kind, and will be able to assist Kyja in the following years. Radagast the Brown is his name." And so, the journey begins. Far into adulthood, Kyja is introduced to a completely new world when Gandalf proposes an offer- to join a band of dwarves to help them save their homeland. Haunted by past memories and scars, the skin-changer is forced to come to terms with her own history while accepting the new fate she has been given. They can go on their own." "They will need your guidance and your ability to fight." Mithrandir said, stopping and turning to her. Noting the sour look across her face and the frown playing at her lips. "No, Mithrandir. There is a dragon in that mountain and unless you have an army, none will survive. I will not die fighting side by side with dwarves." Halidien growled, she would not run from a fight but walking to her death was not something she would do either. And what did she owe to the dwarves, to be running into a mountain with a dragon? "I wish you would have agreed. Halidien, you will go." Mithrandir insisted. "And why would I do that? The dwarves can handle their own problems." "You owe me, and once this quest is over that oath will be fulfilled." He explained, causing Halidien to pale. Hundreds of years ago, Mithrandir had saved her life and she had made an oath to him to help whenever he may need. But the idea of him forcing her to fulfill the oath for this, seemed ridiculous to her. A/N I do not own any character other than Halidien and maybe more if I choose to add more. Artemis that's my name. A Long long time ago a young elf prince gave it to me. He was the crowned elf prince of Mirkwood. His name Legolas he was a very kind young elf. I had saved him from drowning when he was only 10, well looked 10 anyway. Since he is an elf they age very slowly just like my kind. After I saved his life that day he wouldd often come see me. Each day just to learn about me and my race. Since we'll, im a mermaid. I'm the last of my kind. He and I grew up together and my feelings for him became one of love over time. I loved him but it was dangerous for me because mermaids can only love once. If my heart breaks it will turn to stone and stop beating, it will grow old and cold and it will stop and never start again. My body will live but it would be a shell of a mer. One day Legolas had come to see me by the river, he told me about a young she-elf named Tauriel. He told me about how he had feelings for her and how amazing she was. My heart hurt at those words. He had fallen for another. That day I told him I loved him and that I would never forget him. Then I grabbed his face with my hands and kissed him. When I kissed him a tear slid down my cheek, when it hit the ground it turned into a white pearl. I kissed him because I loved him but when I kissed him I took away every memory of him and myself. I let go and put my necklace around his neck. It was a green stone with markings on it. We called it our hearts we would give it to the ones we love. I looked at him one last time before jumping back into the water leaving the one I love.
