The dark is more than just a room with no light. It can be a night sky with no moon, the shadows in a forest, or the darkness of one's own mind.
Raziel knows what darkness is. It is with him all the time, trying to swallow him whole, dragging him down into the depths of depression and guilt.
Since the loss of his mate and son, since the pain of burning metal against his skin, Raziel has been lost to this darkness, unable to find his way out. Until one bright light emerges. Raziel is hesitant to step into that light, unsure what might come of it.
