In every friendship, there are unspoken rules you're not supposed to break. And this is one of them: Girl Code #1: Never date your best friend's ex. * * * * * I never meant to fall for him, the man who once belonged to my best friend. I had witnessed it all : the sparks, the slow unraveling, the heartbreak. And I was there to hold her hand through every tear, every rant, every vow to never look back. But feelings aren't always fair. And hearts don't always ask for permission. When fate brings him back into my life unexpectedly, it should've meant nothing. Just a polite hello, a distant memory. Instead, it sparks something neither of us can ignore. Now, caught in the middle between loyalty and longing, I find myself wrapped in a love that feels real, but shadowed by guilt. Because as our relationship deepens, so does the weight of the secret I haven't told her. Cover by : @kamubiruu

My hand burned against hers, the coil in my lower belly winding up, begging for release. I immediately let go, a blush crawling up my neck. She looked me over, a predatory look falling onto that sharp and stunning face. Her pupils were blown like last night. I wanted to reach out, to touch her, to beg for her to ravish me. - Calypsa had seen ship wrecks far and wide, but none with a female captain so magnetic. Her eyes were the color of sea glass. Black and blue hair. She matched what Calypsa loved most, the ocean. The land was forbidden. It was meant for the humans alone, nymphs were a story, nothing but pirate gossip. Calypsa couldn't imagine the surface beyond fleeting moments when she was a child, but she couldn't ignore this calling. Especially when she had an excuse. In a dystopian future where Earth lies in ruins after the Great War, the descendants of survivors possess unique powers born from decades of radiation exposure. These abilities, drawn from atom manipulation, fall into four categories: elemental powers, flight, telekinesis, and the rarest of all-shapeshifting. While shapeshifters are revered, their abilities come with severe limitations: fleeting transformations and permanent physical traits that endure across forms. To escape the grinding poverty of their world, people are drawn into a televised competition where they perform for a shot at a better life. The crown jewel of these games is the shapeshifter, whose transformations are evaluated for government recruitment. Austin, however, is no ordinary shapeshifter. He can hold his forms for days without the usual physical limitations - but this extraordinary power comes with a dark cost. After a traumatic brain injury, Austin lost his memories, and with the complete loss of his sense of self, the ability to become anyone was discovered. Struggling with a fractured identity, he's faced with a painful choice: survive by stealing the identity of others, or try to uncover the truth of who he was before the accident. **Updating more often for the 8 Chapter Challenge through Wattpad!**

Her voice came out grainy. "I'm tired of being the devil's whip." She ground her teeth together. "I'm tired of killing for evil. I saw you the other night and it made me feel something I'd never felt before. The want to protect you." She looked down at her feet, her expression unfamiliar. "I've been a monster for five hundred years." She looked at me. "And when I saw you, I saw good. I saw purity." - "And what did my angel think about?" She growled. I could feel her breath in my ear. The possessiveness that clouded her burrowed into me. She bit my ear again and I sighed in pleasure. "Tell me," she demanded. "I thought about you," I admitted. My core began to throb. "And was it good?" She moved her lips down to my neck, biting the artery that beat rapidly. I swallowed. "No one has ever made me feel like you do." My voice came out husky. I couldn't take much more of this. - Camael never asked to be saved by a demon. She didn't even know that demons could be saviors. Her purpose was to do the right thing, even when it felt so wrong.
