Após a guerra entre Auradon e o País das Maravilhas, que resultou no fechamento da Toca do Coelho, Uma, a filha de Úrsula, assume como diretora da Escola de Auradon. Em um gesto ousado, ela envia um convite para Red de Copas, filha da tirânica Rainha de Copas, estudar na escola, simbolizando um possível recomeço entre os dois reinos. Apesar das dúvidas e do histórico sombrio da Rainha de Copas, o convite é aceito. No entanto, durante a cerimônia de boas-vindas, Bridget, a Rainha de Copas, revela suas verdadeiras intenções e executa um golpe, ameaçando a paz em Auradon. Red tenta impedir sua mãe, mas um incidente quase fatal coloca Cinderela em perigo - até que Chloe, filha de Cinderela, realiza um ato heroico que muda tudo. Mas e se Red não tivesse pego o Relógio de Maddox? E se ele não fosse uma máquina do tempo? As respostas podem mudar o destino de todos.

The story begins at the end of the first film...Red and Chloe finally return to the present, and fortunately for them they find it better than they left it. The Queen Of Hearts seems to have come good again, and everything seems to be a real happy ending. You don't think that's where it all ends? Time travel will have its consequences, and it will be up to Red and Chloe themselves to clean up the mess they have unconsciously created. Will the two girls be able to handle the pressure of a completely different life? More importantly, will they be able to make up for it? We can say that we will only find out as we live, and in the meantime we will discover that the bond between the princess and the rebel goes far beyond mere friendship.

After changing the past, Red and Chloe go to Auradon Prep together. Everything is fine, until one day, when Red recives a message from her mother telling her to come back to Wonderland for "an important meeting". Red learns that she'll have to find someone to help her rule Wonderland. The thing she doesn't know is that her best friend, Chloe Charming, had feelings for her since the day they met.
