Natasha Taylor was once a name people whispered with envy-until betrayal, scandal, and heartbreak turned her into a pariah. Now a widow with two young children and a new identity, she'll do anything to protect the fragile life she's rebuilt... even if it means lying to the powerful family of the man she thought she knew. When her husband dies in a crash, Natasha is thrust into a world of old money, old secrets, and the one man who threatens to undo her all over again-Elias Thorne, her husband's older brother. Stern, distant, and far too perceptive, Elias is everything she should avoid... and the only man who can uncover the truth she's desperate to keep buried. But in a house where nothing is what it seems, and love feels more like a weapon than a promise, Natasha must decide how far she's willing to go-for survival, for her children, and for a future that may already be out of her hands. Some lies protect us. Others cost everything.

Unforgettable Series #1 High school sweethearts were supposed to last forever, or so I thought when I married Wilson McConnell. Some pains in life are that terrific, something you wouldn't wish upon your greatest enemy. The betrayal of a person who you thought was your soulmate was one of them. He could beg, explain, justify, grovel and pay for his sins. I could be angry, listen to him, get annoyed, have pity and sympathise with him. What he couldn't do was make anything the same or better, ever again! What I couldn't do was ever take him back! In the end there's only just one question left, How Could You?

Ilory Benson was an uninteresting introverted person, who didn't care about fitting anywhere but her little apartment, or in her books. Especially, in her well-respected family, and not many people knew the fact that she was the youngest daughter of a known personality in the Political World, now the Vice President of the US. People never bothered getting to know her and she didn't care, she was always behind the curtains and off the screen, while her four siblings were just as successful as her parents. Most of the time llory was invisible to people, but there was one particular person who avoided her like sugar on a diet. Her brother-in-law, Emmanuel Savelli. She had never let people's behaviour bother her, but if she could come close to hating anyone that would be him. Therefore, when a call in the middle of the night had her rushing to Washington she was in shock, the place and people she left for her peace of mind were now calling her. But this return brought a whole lot of responsibilities and immediate decisions. One of them particularly concluded on marrying Emmanuel which was also her sister's dying wish. To step in for the sixteen months old baby her sister left behind, after suffering because of Cardiovascular Disease. There are times when you make a decision and it turns out to be the worst or perfect decision of your life. It was time for Ilory and Emmanuel to make one.
