Martyn was born blind and has always relied heavily on his hearing to navigate and understand the world around him. He walks with a cane, and his eyes are always closed-he doesn't even know what color they are, nor has he ever thought to ask. For him, the world has always been cloaked in darkness. That began to change when he discovered a small spark of magic within himself. With time and practice, he learned to use it to "paint" mental images of people and places in his mind. Through subtle differences in tone, mood, and cadence, he could distinguish colors-hearing the warmth of a sunset in a laugh, or the chill of blue in a hushed whisper. Over the years, he also honed his ability to read body language-not through sight, but through sound. The shifting of feet, the rhythm of someone's breath, the way fabric brushed against itself as someone turned-all of it became a symphony of cues that told him what others could see with their eyes. Martyn often kept to himself, sitting quietly in the corner of a room with a Braille book in his hands, lost in the raised dots beneath his fingers. Most people didn't approach him. Whether it was discomfort or uncertainty, he had grown used to being left alone. But that all changed the day a new transfer student joined the theater program. Curious and unafraid, they noticed Martyn sitting by himself and, rather than shy away, felt drawn to him. For the first time in a long while, Martyn's quiet world began to shift-not just with sound and magic, but with the unexpected rhythm of connection.

It's been two years since the Entity invaded Hermitcraft. The Hermits have moved on. Sure, the scars are still there, (especially Zedaph's) but they've faded! Season ten is here, and so are two new Hermits! They don't know of the horrors the Entity brought to Hermitcraft, only a bit of what their friends have told them. Joel is one of those new Hermits. He's had a great time! Started building a cyberpunk and Japanese themed base, right near all of his close friends. I'm back and ready to finish this series's chapters. I'll be doing some revision and grammar checks on all the chapters. As well as finishing the last scene from episode 1 of Double Life; from Pearl's POV. -------- Jumping into a brand new series called Double Life, organized by Grian. One where everyone shares their life with a secret soulmate. Pearl was excited to join in and experience the fun and chaos this series has to offer. But how can one wrong decision change the path she was meant to take? This wasn't how Pearl thought things were to go. Everyone was just fine and found their soulmate. With a few trouble and hassle to connect to one another. So why? Why did this have to happen to her? Is she going to be left alone, without a soulmate? To survive out here in the wilderness all by herself? Scoffing, she knew if it was to be, then she can't sulk in one spot all day. This was all supposed to be a game, just more in-depth. She hadn't realized just how much this series, this game explores into her character as a whole. Constantly pushing her to the edge, to develop, to change, to further her relations with the others. To bring into broad daylight the real and true relationship sitting between her and them all this time. Not through the silly delusions she had before. She couldn't possibly face them properly after the series ended, could she? Author Note: I hope anyone that comes across this enjoys reading. This is based on Pearl's POV for Double Life SMP. This story will be based on the series itself, the character's dialogue and action will be more or less the same. As I want to add some additional dialogues that don't exist in the original videos. Some exchanges and actions aren't shown in the series at all. Keep it in mind. I added them in to make the chapter more interesting. I'm the type of person who likes the character to have a bigger backstory and a deeper meaning. :D And in this case, Pearl.
