***The sequel to "Rooms On Fire"*** By the holiday season of 1988, Lindsey Buckingham isn't sure which situation concerns him more - his wife's growing dependence to klonopin and its exhausting side effects, or her involvement with British music producer Rupert Hine, a less than scrupulous married man. Both of these factors are quite present as the entire Buckingham family - Lindsey, Stevie, Julia, Aaron, baby Sara and two dogs - descend upon England the week before Christmas. Stevie is there to finish working on The Other Side Of The Mirror as well as to celebrate the holidays and her wedding anniversary with Lindsey, but of course, both of these issues are bound to get in the way. ******************** "But it's alright, baby...I'm doing the best that I can..."

***Another installment of the Buckingham Nicks Alternate Universe*** Stevie Nicks never expected any of this to be her life at 40 years old...but then again, she did... With Lindsey Buckingham's 1987 departure from Fleetwood Mac, Stevie finds herself living with a few significant changes, good and bad - The birth of their daughter Sara as their two older children are becoming tweens, the Shake The Cage Tour in which Stevie must learn how to be a part of Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey for the first time since joining the band, and recording a new solo album with producer Rupert Hine, which leads to the classic jealous streak in Lindsey that's threatened their relationship before. These and other reasons are what drive Stevie to take the advice of a doctor who has prescribed her a dangerous medication that begins to strip away at her spark, her creative energy...and her energy in general. In 1988-1989, in the alternate universe of Buckingham Nicks, the rooms are all on fire.

On Monday, January 9, 2023, the four remaining members of Fleetwood Mac gather in Malibu at aa private memorial service for Christine McVie, whose death six weeks earlier shook them all to their core...particularly Stevie Nicks. As Stevie appears in Malibu to bid farewell to yet another best friend, she finds herself more anxious than sad, because two of the most important men in her life will be there, and so will their decades-long connections and conflicting emotions... Mick Fleetwood, who has made it clear to her since Christine's death that life is too short to deny oneself happiness...and happiness for Mick is to love Stevie in a way he was denied decades earlier during their brief love affair. Lindsey Buckingham, whom she has not set eyes on in 5 years, ever since the infamous MusiCares incident that got Lindsey kicked out of the band and put an abrupt end to 20 years of "almost" after their breakup after The Dance. Stevie, still grieving the loss of her friend, must decide once and for all who, if either of these men, will be the one with whom she will spend the remaining years of her life - the man whose comfortable friendship and home in Hawaii is waiting for her, or the man she has loved and hated and lusted after and mourned for her entire adult life but has never gotten over. Told in the first-person point of view by all three people involved in this love triangle, "Everybody Loves You" will answer question... Will Stevie choose comfort, passion, or her own independence from it all?

***The Buckingham Nicks alternate universe returns in the early 2000s with the era of Say You Will!!!*** It's 2002 and Stevie, just home from her Trouble In Shangri-La tour, joins Lindsey, Mick and John in the studio for the first time without Christine to make a new album. However their professional lives may be stressful, however, pales in comparison to the drama, the struggles and, yes, also the happiness, that comes with having two grown children, a young teen and a daughter just starting school...the family they have created over 25 years of marriage. A new album, a tour, a health scare, a wedding and the first grandchild of both the Buckinghams and the McVies color the first few years of the new millennium for our favorite rock and roll love match, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. This story revolves around Fleetwood Mac starting during the Rumours era and going beyond. However, it does not tell the story of Stevie Nicks shooting daggers with her eyes across the stage to her former lover Lindsey Buckingham it focuses on the second couple sharing the stage with them. This story focuses on Christine and John McVie. As we all know their marriage was very much in debris by 1975 and eventually ended in divorce in 1978. My little fic here is all about 'What if not?' What if they had found a way to pull themselves together and made it work, continuing to stay the couple they never could be? This story also brings forth a character that could be all of us, and you might find a little bit of yourself in her. This story is obviously based on real life human beings that actually existed and still exist. This story however, although based on true events, is purely fictitious. While I did try my best to stay true to the real life characteristics of the people I'm writing about all the events described here have been conjured up by me and are not in any way real. Some characters in this story are not real either and purely a figment of my imagination. I hope you enjoy this little fic about a very underrated couple that I feel is deserving of more recognition, as it is my opinion, that the bond they shared was far greater than they ever let us believe. {side note: English isn't my first language so apologies if some things sound strange}
