It's reality in marital relations all across the globe, cultures and religion irrespective and thus, portrayable for authors and creators in the world of fiction. Whether we accept it or not, it's one of the strongest instruments of sensationalism which hooks audience to it - a reflection of the ugliest of realities that humans are very undeniably attracted to infliction of pain and torture on another. Proved again by the stance of the authorities with the promo. What happened with "Tere Bin" could have multiple and DID have multiple theories to it, as to 12 million possibilities of every why's, how's, if's and if not's.
