(NEW DESCRIPTION ENJOY) In the past, Holo and Lawrence had faced things a peddler and wolf shouldn't have to. Their patience has been pulled to breakage, their snapping tongues have almost lashed each other too deeply, and above all else, their relationship has been pushed to the very brink. Now, it's up to them to face one last challenge together. With a bloodthirsty new pack of wolf recruits from the North, Holo and Lawrence mustn't get to comfortable where they lay their heads. In order to call off the chase, an exchange is made between Holo and Aren, the alpha leading the search. A deal that could make, or break, everything. Follow the wolf and the peddler as they make one last chance, one last strive to right all the wrongs, and make it out together. With past mistakes and future ones leaning over them, these two just may not have it in them for one more chase. Or do they?

Two climbers on a high peak in the Alps, in the frigid grasp of a high-altitude blizzard, unwittingly awaken something that has been dormant for over a thousand years. A short story acting as a prelude to my magnum opus, which has yet to be unveiled.

A short story by Sable Baelwin. This is a short romantic scene I wrote a year or two ago. I hope the reader enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
