Ever faced a situation, where you realize that you’re not the main protagonist in your own life? It may not be as astonishing as the fact that I have the ability to metamorphose into an animal, or the fact that I know very less about the history of my species, thanks to my shady parents. It’s even less appalling than learning that most of the members of my species are hell bent at snatching one of the most important things in my life, which ironically has become important to me in just a matter of days. And it is certainly bound to be less depressing than knowing that my ancestor’s enemy is ready to exceed to great lengths to eliminate my family from the face of the earth. And, of course, let’s not forget that it is less surprising than the fact that my life partner has been discovered to be a guy, the same gender as I. But still, nothing compares to the shock that I face, when I learn that anything significant occurring in my life is not centered around me at all. Hi, I am Josh Lichinsky and this is not my story.

Tyler Lewis is a 17-year-old openly gay boy who's been heartbroken so many times. After finding a new "love" his parents were afraid that his heart would break again. Meeting his new partner, his parents weren't pleased, however, Tyler insisted on continuing to see the other man. Fed up with his attitude, his parents desperately tried to look for a way out. A few days later, Tyler's parents received a call from one of their old college friends. The Young family was composed of Hunter, their eldest son Hunter (age 28) and their youngest son Nathan (age 21). The situation with Tyler brought up old agreements between his parents and the Young family. It was the agreement that, when the time came, The Lewis' eldest child would marry the Young's eldest child. Unfortunately, they didn't anticipate both of them to be boys, but this didn't seem to be a problem to both parties. Tyler and Hunter hated the idea, but that wasn't the biggest problem. The biggest problem was that Hunter was as straight as a pole. *** WARNING *** This book contains relationships between two men. "The girl is mine" he all but growled, motioning with a tilt of his head towards me. In that moment I knew exactly who he was and what he was talking about. I paled at the realization as my throat went dry and my heart slammed against my chest repeatedly. "Oh my god" I whispered, covering my mouth as I backed away from the two guys in front of me. I was his tether. "The hell she is" Fevah fired back, still not getting it. He was ignored by the stranger as I seemed to have claimed his full attention. He smiled sweetly at me, taking small steps towards me, trying not to frighten me. "It's alright sweetheart, I could never hurt you" he called, his voice soft and melodious. I froze, fear freezing me in my spot as the wind seemed to suddenly pick up and toss my light brown hair in my face. Tears sprang up to my eyes. I didn't want this. I didn't want him. This was the one thing I would never want. My parents would disown me if they found out. I would get kicked out and be left for dead. I can't let them find out; I'll just have to find a way to get rid of him. I knew that wasn't going to be easy. "You've got to be shitting me" Fevah suddenly said, his eyes going from the stranger then back to me. Realization had finally hit him. I was a freaking monsters...or what ever he was, tether. He swallowed loudly before scratching the back of his neck uncomfortably. "She's my tether" the stranger said offhandedly, his voice soft as he eyed me approvingly.
