"It felt almost...depressing, having one person dictate all I was feeling. Though it was one I've always had, and one I couldn't resist. Like a moth to a flame. Everyone knows it'll harm the moth, but the moth, simply, does not care." In a small town, we follow the lives of two individuals. Steven, raised by an authoritarian father, and a timid mother. While James is raised with a neglectful mother and an absent father. They trek down the halls of fragmented memories of their past friendship that was ripped away from them alongside the security they used to give each other. Navigating their voyage of feelings on if they want something more or if they just crave nostalgic comfort while dealing with the turmoils of home? They venture through shattered dreams of what could've been, constantly haunting them...all while pushing each other away out of fear. Will they be able to rekindle what has been lost, or will it forever be a downward spiral of heartbreak and betrayal of oneself and others? A testament of resilience that binds us all and makes us human. That even in our darkest moments, the essence of who we are lies in our struggles and our hopes. Humanity isn't meant to be viewed in black or white. Rather an array of reflective shades...some buried deeper than one wants to realize.

Haunted by an alluring song that echoes in his nightmares, William must unravel the secrets of the Pied Piper's music before the rest of Hamelin falls victim to the same fate as the children. 'Just one more question. Well, two questions. Did the Goddess ever get her voice back, and has anyone met her?' 'She did, but no one knows how. It's a mystery! The Goddess does not like showing herself to people, but she had to when it came to fixing the rum situation.' 'Maybe, I will get to meet her,' Jacques said proudly. The Captain chuckled, 'My boy, you might get to.' From that day forward, Jacques sailed the seven seas waiting for the time he would get the opportunity to meet the Goddess. As Jacques sailed on the ocean, he heard the same humming sound as the Captain once did before him. In a tale of adventure and forbidden love, Jacques, the captain of the ship Sparrow, has been sailing the seas ever since he heard a mysterious voice from the ocean. This voice belongs to Arieshell, a siren who has controlled the waves for millennia. When she encounters Jacques's ship, she falls in love with him. The story explores whether Jacques and Arieshell can find what they are searching for despite the challenges of their different worlds. ------ The cover credit goes to @lorenasanz15 The banner credit goes to @starisredy Character Aesthetics credits edible_autumn Word count Goal: 85,000-115,000 Word Count: 177,928 ----- Highest Rankings 🥇 #1 in Sirens - 11/08/25 🥇 #1 in Sailors - 11/15/25
