Umaiyrah Abdulmalik is soft like lavender-quiet, graceful, and content with living a simple life in Gwagwalada. Between supporting her family, planning events, and finding peace in routine, she has no room for the chaos of Abuja's elite world. Until the day she walks into a penthouse lounge in Maitama... and meets Zayd Yusuf Abubakar He smells of oud-rich, warm, and dangerously unforgettable. A multi-billionaire energy mogul with hazel eyes, a calm voice, and a presence that shifts the air around him. Zayd is the kind of man people whisper about powerful, quiet, and impossible to reach. But for reasons even he can't explain... he can't look away from the modest event planner who carries herself like she doesn't know her own beauty. Their worlds clash-soft and strong, lavender and oud. She wants simplicity. He lives in luxury. She plans events. He plans empires. Yet destiny weaves their paths together, drawing them into a slow-burning connection neither of them saw coming. In a city where status speaks louder than hearts, can a gentle girl from Gwagwalada and Abuja's quiet billionaire find a love that feels like home?

When news of Jamilah Abubakr's death reached the world, it shook. How couldn't it? It'd lost one of the gems it had left....A young, cultured philanthropist with as much beauty within, as she had without. The Khalil household was one of the most affected. With both sons, Jamil and Ayman having to deal with the loss of the girl who'd meant the world to them. However, things aren't as rosy as they were, and Jamilah has lost a great deal of herself to the accident, mentally. She's unable to remember much of her former life, and is in for a bumpy ride once the rest of the socialite circle - a bunch of politicians and government officials that are out to damage hers and the Khalil's reputation - discover her secret. Yahya Khalil, head of the Khalil household, and an important political figure in the country, plans Jamilah's marriage to his sons for her safety. The question of who to wed is then left; Ayman, her childhood best friend and former crush; or Jamil, the man she'd been close to getting married to. Without Jamilah's memories, without the knowledge of how she'd once felt towards both of them, what does she do? Does she make the decision she'd have years ago, before the accident? Or does she make a different decision this time, ignoring the foreign feelings that grip her whenever she sees him? You want to know who 'Him' is? Want to know what her decision is? Delve into Jamilah's world in 'My baby; My wife'.

Growls emanated from the darkness, just as she had suspected. The fierce wind lashed at the hood of her raven hoodie, wrenching it from its ties, leaving her vulnerable to the freezing winter assault. Fear surged, each breath creating a visible fog. Her heart pounded in her chest, but she refused to give in. She had come too far to let fear overcome her. Summoning every ounce of strength, she sprinted down the dark, unknown path, urging her feet to carry her to a mysterious and enigmatic destination. She would not remain tethered to the stranger her father had forced her to marry while she had been fighting for her life in a hospital bed. How could he have done such a thing to her? Her hatred for him intensified tenfold... The relentless pursuit abruptly halted, her voice releasing a high-pitched yelp at the unexpected sight. Before her stood her rejuvenated nightmare, her husband. She was not the least bit frightened, but the man had pledged to her father that he would stay married to her for eternity. "Seems like we're destined to be shrouded in this ominous darkness," he grinned, his smile dripping with menace, sending shivers down her spine. The desperate words she willed her mind to say failed to escape. Her retort of "Whatever, Police Officer" deserted her.

Copyright© 2018. All rights reserved. [#1 in Malik/Othman series] [can be read separately] My name is Kydah Malik, I know my name sounds so beautiful to your ears but my life isn't how it looks. It was such a hurdle getting into an arranged marriage not knowing it was the only man she's ever loved her whole life. Then that cliché part when the female members of his family are all in love with my handsome husband, it was stressing seeing those glares. Another much massive problem is my mother in-law totally yawing her back against me when I couldn't give birth after my daughter died, as if I give myself those. It became really hard living with him, join my ride and find out how I took care of everything, it wasn't easy... No plagiarizing of this book! Aishatu.
