*Completed* *Unedited* With every step he took towards me, I took one back until I hit the edge of his bed. A deep growl rumbled from his throat and I tried to make myself smaller in hopes that he would leave me alone. Being a human, I stood no chance against this beast in front of me. He would tear me apart. His muscles rippled with ease from underneath his shirt; his stance towered over me; his eyes colored with darkness; and I knew he was struggling to keep his wolf contained. "Kitten, don't act all scared. This is what you wanted, isn't it? You've always fantasized about what it would be like to be with a beast like me." His hand approached me slowly and then brushed my hip. I gasped. His teeth grazed my neck and I unconsciously leaned my head away, so he could have more room. "Answer me!" he growled. My chest furiously moved up and down as I tried to calm myself. I shook my head. "Well, Kitten, you're MINE. Whether you like it or not." From a very young age, Mae has been told by her father to stay away from werewolves. They were too rough, too dangerous for humans, but she always had a fascination with them. Damon was the Alpha of the Night Bane pack and he was exactly what Mae's father told her he would be - rough and dangerous. *Not my cover art @ Jojoesart

Auden was supposed to be ordinary. She moved away from her pack, became a vet, lived a normal life, and only did the occasional business for her pack. After all, she was still family. But Auden was just about as human as any non-shifting werewolf could've been. Until someone broke into her neighbor's apartment, kidnapped an Alpha's younger sister, forced her to take action and meet said-Alpha face-to-face. Things would've probably stayed the same after that - if the Alpha in question wasn't her mate. Forced to join another pack, Auden finds herself trying to find every way to be useful - or even maintain her human life... If only she really was human. Alpha Lucien is protective. Being born to a bloodline of early shifters, Lucien's made his vow to protect his sister and his pack at all costs. His pack is secretive. Hidden from most of the world, the Umbra pack has remained quiet and reserved, peaceful even. And being mated to a human wasn't supposed to be problematic - but humans weren't supposed to be hunted by other... 'werewolves', if that's what those 'things' are. Lucien has always tried to stay away from trouble... So what happens when his mate is the very thing he's trying to stay away from? * "You're coming with me," he said and I pursed my lips, biting into my bottom lip, the action earning a low growl that resonated from his body. I took a deep breath. "Okay..." I said as I looked into his eyes and challenged him, mustering as much strength as I could to resist his damned Alpha command. I stepped forward. "I have a job to do Alpha." I bowed my head. "And... I think I'm going to be late for work, so if you would please move-" I froze. He was way too close. Too fucking close I could feel his breath against my skin. He definitely wasn't going to let me go anywhere. There was only one thing I could do. Run. Quick Author's Note: Currently editing this before I move forward with the next arc - think about it as season 2 comin soon xx _laciela
