After being kidnapped by Rita Repulsa, Y/n is forced to tell his kidnappers about the Power Rangers, only he reveals that he doesn't know anything about them except they are pretty awesome and that they would do anything to protect the planet. Being held there against his will, the boy suddenly feels some power surge through his body and it was at this moment his life would change as he knew what was going on. He became a Power Ranger, only he was revealed to be the Green Ranger as he now stood in the chamber with his restraints off and in the Green Ranger uniform. After finding a way to escape capture, Y/n decided to go to the only person he knew who could help with this predicament, Tommy Oliver which made sense at the time seeing as he was the Green Ranger once upon a time. Tommy brings Y/n to the Command Center hoping that Zordon would be able to shed some light on this, but the guardian of the Power Rangers knew nothing of what was going on as Alpha didn't either, but the other Rangers figured the green candle was burnt out never to let the Green Ranger's power reveal itself again.
