The Hermits are back for Season 8 and some of them have been playing in a death game called 3rdLife. But the ending was a lot harder to cope with for one of them. Can Grian cope with the guilt slowly overtaking him? Will he be able to ever look Scar in the eyes again? Meanwhile, Scar seems his happy self. That slowly changes when his beloved pesky bird seems to avoid him. Aka, Grian doesn't want to make the same mistakes, but does. And Scar tries to figure out why things have changed. And somehow, they always end up back in the desert.

Grian is cursed, or at least, that's what it seems. Trapped against his will to play a cruel game and sacrificing himself for his friends, Grian knows little of happiness. Now forced to throw away his very humanity itself, he must learn to become one of the very beings that toyed with both him and his friends. Will the games ever end, or is he fated to a life of pain and anguish until the bitter end? Note: this contains a lot of angst. There are also a few scenes with blood, but nothing too graphic. (I'm pretty squeamish when it comes to blood myself). A small boy wearing nothing but white and gray ran through the quieted parts of the popular server. Grian goes missing and Xisuma has a guess on who could have caused it. The past is dragged up as the other hermits try and save their friends, making some new allies along the way. hermitcraft fic, grian centric (actually it focuses a lot on everyone! when a watcher gets on to hermitcraft, to get Xisuma is quick to get it in chains. As he doesnt want his family hurt his plan was to ban it and be over and done with it but when he gets to the spot were it landed and he seen how hurt it already was he couldnt bring himself to do that. Xisuma expend it to fight and trying to brake the chains but it was barley moving

When Season 7 rolled around, Grian feels something isn't right. He doesn't know whether he should drop his "always happy!" act, or whether he should call for help.
