And perhaps some promises are powerful enough to survive even when memory does not. **A story about love, family, memory, loss, and finding your way back to someone who never truly stopped waiting.**

AFTER SEVEN YEARS October 14, 2018. Lingling never believed she would fall in love with a woman. She was a Christian. She knew what she had been taught to believe. Love was supposed to be simple, certain, and something she could explain. Then life happened. Years later, Lingling is a successful doctor in Thailand, buried beneath hospital shifts, responsibilities, and the life she built with the woman she thought would be beside her forever. Seven years. Seven years of memories, promises, fights, forgiveness, growing up, and learning how to call someone home. Until one day, home isn't home anymore. After the relationship ends, Lingling throws herself into the only thing she knows how to control-her work. Then Orm walks into her life. A new nurse. Bright. Warm. Light in all the ways Lingling has forgotten how to be. Orm doesn't know that Lingling is still carrying the weight of seven years. She doesn't know that behind the calm doctor everyone admires is a woman terrified of starting over. And Lingling certainly doesn't expect to fall for her. Because how do you let yourself love someone new when part of you is still mourning the person you thought you'd spend forever with? Maybe some people aren't meant to stay. Maybe seven years weren't wasted. And maybe the love that comes after the ending isn't meant to replace the past- maybe it's meant to show you who you were always meant to become. A story about faith, first love, heartbreak, healing, and the woman who taught Lingling that starting over could feel like coming home. Authors note: The date is actually my anniversary with my ex. :( writing so that i can divert my focus. Enjoy!

A LingOrm AU wherein Orm, an employee of a conglomerate, develops an extreme admiration to her direct supervisor, Ying. As Ying is revealed to be the cousin of the owner/chairman of the conglomerate, she will be transferred to an executive position. Hence, thinking that she may not be able to communicate with Ying once the transfer is completed, Orm gained courage to confess her feelings without any expectations. But when destiny works its magic, Orm wrongfully confessed her feelings to Lingling, the Chairman and CEO of the conglomerate she's working for. Note: This story is inspired from one of my favorite manhwa with the same name/title. This is also my first time writing so forgive me for any grammar issues or inconsistencies to the story. I am a fan of LingOrm and so I decided to adapt this manhwa to a LingOrm AU with a different setting that's just completely based on my own imagination. (Also, posting this for my own entertainment HAHA) I honestly don't like angst, so this story will probably be full of fluff and fluff only HAHA.

Growing up in a family constantly under the public eye, Dr. Ling Kwong learned early on how to become invisible. Blamed for a childhood tragedy and overshadowed by her famous family, she lives quietly in the background of her own life, pouring everything into her work as a neurosurgeon where no one expects anything from her. But when an emergency brings Orm-a hard-working kinder teacher-into the hospital, their two very different worlds collide. Amidst the sterile halls and exhausting quiet hours, Orm begins to notice the silent details everyone else misses: the tired eyes behind the surgical mask, the unspoken grief, and the gentle heart hidden underneath. For a doctor used to being forgotten, Orm's gentle gaze might just be the first place Ling feels like she truly belongs.
