This story depicts an alternate timeline wherein Velzard attends Walpurgis after sensing Veldora's presence. She subsequently meets our protagonist and becomes interested in him after his display at the meeting. After thinking for a bit, she decides to move to Tempest and becomes a close ally of Rimuru. Rimuru and Velzard will sometimes be out of character since it's unavoidable. Our protagonist will be more rational and have an actual spine, while Velzard will not be as cold and ruthless as her canon counterpart. Besides, Velzard lacks substantial characterization, so I decided to write my own interpretation of her personality based on the original light novel. I recommend at least having seen the second season of the anime since my story will pick up from there. This fanfic will follow the main story beats of the original light novel, so some arcs will be glossed over with minor changes. I'm somewhat OC, so expect a lot of chapter edits or updates, as I tend to reread chapters and catch minor mistakes here and there. (Note that this is Book 1 for the full story.) This is a continued story following "Veldanava's Last Hope: RIMURU TEMPEST" Also I am sure that there are some of you guys who didn't want me to ship Rimuru with Velzard/Velgrynd in the first book, but let me just say this. Veldanava create a soul before he died, but I never said that rimuru is his son, also Rimuru became a True Dragon sub-species after his encounter with Veldora, so he is more like a step-sibling to the true dragons and step-siblings can legally marry in Japan as long as they share no blood relation. Rimuru spent 37 years in Japan in his past life so the idea of him marrying them isn't impossible as it is legal. One more thing, in the first book I did write Rimuru and Velzard having a sibling relationship for the past chapters, but for those who read the light novel and manga should know that Velzard conceal her true feeling right.
