You're out on a task one day and you see him cross the border. Now keep in mind, the rule not to cross isn't in effect yet so it was okay but it was still very dangerous. They went to every adventure together and what happens when tinkerbell's wings start to sparkle and Annika offeres her help and going back to the winter woods again (she's been there multiple times.), the winter woods and the border brings so much memories to Annika even brought up her old feelings to the lord of winter.
