The world thought Kenric died. And maybe somewhere deep down, a little part of him had in the time he'd spent in the Neverseen's clutches. But it didn't matter when he saw her. None of it mattered. Only her. Oralie's world was gone. All she could do was put one step in front of the other, desperately hoping everything she'd ever worked for was not for nothing. She was drowning, but it didn't matter. None of it mattered. Because he was gone. ~ Oralie always thought she'd step down with Kenric once this was all over. She'd spend the rest of her life with him. It never occurred to her that by the time this ended, he'd be gone. Now she's falling apart, and no one's there to pick up the pieces. But when a showdown with the Neverseen reveals their possession of a hostage that could throw the Lost Cities into chaos, she's torn once more between her duties and her love. After Sophie finds out that Oralie is her biological mother, she starts to hate her. Oralie mind shatters causing all the councillors to panic. In the end, Sophie is asked to help Oralie. What if Kenric died in Everblaze? Oralie refuses to allow Sophie to heal her unless they can find Kenric. Will Oralie's mind be shattered forever? Will Kenric show himself to the other councillors?

Kenric never died. Kenric and Oralie get married, but there's some drama on the way. This story is on hold/paused for a while until I have more free time and I have some ideas for it sorry.
