This week has been full of unexplained deaths and strange sightings. Like every resident of Nethermly, Reverie Ashford had locked herself safely in her house. She planned to enjoy some peace and quiet until the town returned to normal. But of course, the universe seems to hate her: The first newcomer the town has had in centuries had to come knocking at her door. Draven did not want to ask for her help. But his people had been massacred, and if the remaining few didn't act fast, the same would happen to the oblivious residents of Nethermly. He did not want to dig up his past, nor did he want to drag an unwilling girl into this. But they needed every help they could get, and they were running out of time. If they failed, Nethermly would be erased from the map. Prompt 86: Nobody new has come to your hidden town in centuries - until now. Soren never asked to be the only faerie on campus who can see ghosts. Because honestly? It's kind of a nightmare. Between dodging chatty spirits in the hallways, and constantly being late because some 200-year-old ghost will not move from the dorm entrance, Soren has enough problems. And after Soren loses his protective charm, things get worse. The ghosts aren't just harmless annoyances anymore. Some of them are dangerous. The shadows are getting darker, the spirits are getting hungrier, and Soren is seeing things that no faerie should ever be able to see. Soren would love to focus on literally anything else, like figuring out how to make a certain angel fall in love with him or passing his exams, but first? He needs to fix this before he ends up as just another ghost on campus.

For ONC 2025 | Prompt 14 A middle-aged witch. One successful murder, one less successful murder. Add a dash of yearning, and it's the perfect recipe for disaster...or romance. Lee Morose, pronounced Mo-ro-say, is an appeals witch, which means she works her hardest to get innocent magical beings out of their punishments. After almost being drowned by a lake monster, Lee gets approached by Reef Marine, pronounced Mare-in, a mermaid who's been cursed with Living Death, the ultimate punishment given to those convicted of the most heinous magical crimes. But Reef claims he's innocent, and Lee has an inkling maybe the sopping-wet man before her is telling the truth. So Lee agrees to take on his case, and together they set out to discover the the real murderer. But there's someone or something, that wants the truth to stay buried. There's also the little matter of Lee's growing interest in Reef that goes beyond attorney/client privilege. A witch's life is never easy, and Lee's just got a whole lot more complicated. *Slow updates, but if you have read any of this thank you! Interstice • Science Fiction • Horror _______ Dr. Merilyn Bascom Quartermain was scheduled to return to the Olympus Moon Colony a month ago. Now, her father, a high ranking official with T-CUAS, The Center for Universal Astronomical Studies and Air Force Commander, Jethro Bascom is sending a military team to go and bring her in. If they can find her. When an impromptu visitation from a formerly unknown Alien species surprise lands in Olympus, a species that wasn't yet listed in the Federation, of course she left with them after hearing their plea for help. A seemingly fragile race and somehow pathetic, their biome was causing sterility and she was only supposed to collect critical information and return, until everything could be investigated and vetted. But they left the colony in an uproar. The peaceful community was now in chaos over the incident, going into lockdown until they could decontaminate the facilities and residents. Jethro couldn't really fault her. Like father, like daughter. But this time, the fairy tale rescue was his to rewrite. He was going along because this time, the moral of the story was his call. And it might not have a happy ending. _____________ Ⓜ️This book is rated mature for profanity, adult sexual situations, drug use, suspense and brief mentions of nudity.
