It has been her dream to be on the said Enterprise and a lot of expectations came along with it. When she meets this cold, statue-like being, Spock, as she remembers from the Academy as her professor in Vulcan studies, all her expectations were torn and she only has one goal since then: to annoy the hell out of this man. Just months after the new Cardassian Dominion alliance decimated the Demilitarized Zone, Starfleet is facing the prospect of war against a villain almost as dangerous as the Borg. Diplomats are hopeful for a treaty, however Starfleet prepares for war. Captain Peyton left his uniform behind when Starfleet turned their back on a people he loved, a people who were destroyed when the DMZ fell. However, Starfleet has asked him to return and lead a special project he had devised years ago to help bolster the fleets. Against his own personal feelings, he chooses to come back to help protect the Federation. Little did he expect to face his past and a new threat to the Federation within days of starting the project. Note to readers: This story was written twenty years ago. I revisited it and re-wrote it with a better eye after having published 17 books professionally since then. This is a my love letter to Star Trek that I grew up with. Any similarities to what has come out since then are coincidence. I did not add or change any of the story points or ideas in the re-write. The stories basic points are the same as I wrote them more than two decades ago.

<Book 1> Penny is a new recruit at the Star Fleet Academy. She is a very shy girl with a horrible past. She was not only abused mentally, but physically and emotionally. Even thought she is 1/4 Vulcan, she still has the personality and looks of a human. She thought she would keep those feelings in forever until she met a particularly fascinating Vulcan who was like her in more ways than one.

Set after the 2009 Star Trek movie and before/during Into Darkness* After the defeat of Nero the USS Enterprise have been given a years mission with a new communications officer on board (Uhara is still in the story but dies not have a romantic relationship with Spock). Commander Leila Karen Kirk is Jim's twin sister whom he hasn't seen in 10 years. Leila is a unique human being with the power of mind control and the ability to learn new skills simply by observing once. Taken away from her family at the age of 15 Leila is the youngest cadet ever to join the Starfleet Academy per Captain Pike's request. For 10 years Starfleet had given her a mission to travel to other planets and to learn the culture and language of other alien races. After an unfortunate incident on the USS Banbury Commander Kirk is reassigned to the USS Enterprise where she is reunited with 2 men she thought she'd never see again.
