But one day, his depression gets lifted a bit by one his Papa's old friends, Gilbert Beilschmidt. He instantly falls in love with him, but can't confess due to one problem. Gilbert gets a girlfriend. Matthew gets upset, but trys to stay strong, not being able to have any contact with Gilbert for awhile because of his new girlfriend. What will Matthew do? will he confess? or keep his feelings locked away? and- What challenges will he face?

The way her scarf whipped in the wind and the way her bright blue eyes shimmered. Her smile was almost as bright as her eyes and her features were light, pale and perfect. She was so shy yet smart and funny; she wasnt a girly girl but wasnt a complete guy either and her short blonde hair hugged her face in a way that made it stand out. She was just perfection and I loved her more than words could describe, but she would never feel the same. She would always tell me she would never get into a relationship, but no matter how much I asked her she would never tell me why. This girl was dangerous to be around; I was scared my attraction to her would make me pounce at any moment and make me ruin the friendship. But I will get through to her one day. She will be mine.

Arthur has messy dirty blonde hair and emrald green eyes. He is a lonely youth and is embarrassed easily. Francis, a 9 year-old boy, enjoys hanging around Arthur and bugging him in his spare time. Francis has little less than shoulder length blond wavy hair and crystal blue eyes. These two boys are often considered "frememies".
