When they went to visit a foster home they came across two boys. One with spiky blond hair and an explosive personality to match his quirk and one with dual coloured hair. They were 8. After two months of officially adopting the boys, Aizawa came across a boy with purple hair that seems to break all the laws of gravity. The boy had run away from his abusive family one night and accidently ran into Aizawa. When Shouta found out why he was running away he got them arrested and adopted him. It was in the boys last year of middle school that they found the last member of the family...or so they thought. Aizawa was doing his normal night patrol when he came across a boy. But, the boy...he was standing on the ledge of a roof, getting ready to jump. Aizawa had tried to talk to the kid but it seemed to fall on deaf ears as the kid jumped.
