What happens if two worlds never collide?
Set on edge between Wales and England in the fictional city Myoski, two British young adults with completely different lives occur. There's Deirdre, who's originally from Cork but was brought up here. There's only two things she really wants-her parents to try and be civil whilst working through their divorce long-term, and her brother Alwyn to finally get a grip on his life. But it all changes when he goes missing. She doesn't care about anything or anyone anymore. She craves any form of order, so it's no surprise she doesn't care about whether influences are good or bad. Everything is worthless anyway. But Deirdre's still struggling, in almost every way possible, and suddenly, the hope that always felt just out of reach is forever gone.
And there's Joel, an eighteen-year-old boy whose identity has been misconstrued into being a con artist and a thief after the death of his uncle. All he wants is for the people he loves to be happy-even if it means without him. And when his best friend gets into trouble at home, he's sort of stuck with helping him even though he thought he'd be long gone and done and dusted with illegal matters. But Joel's determined to get through this and stick by his mate's side. No matter the cost.
