Zoey Francis learned last book that she and her mother Layla come from a long line of gypsies, as Jenny Calendar is Layla's sister/Zoey's aunt. Zoey and Layla left Sunnydale to be with their family so they can learn what it means to be a gypsy and how to use their powers, coming back to Sunnydale with less fear of themselves and more confidence with their powers. When one Halloween turns Zoey into a ninja/assassin, she is gifted with weaponry and hand to hand knowledge of fighting. Buffy Summers may be Slayer, and Brooke Summers and Alice Giles may be Guardians that protect the Slayers/innocents; they won't be the only ones around anymore, not after they died/came back to life. They have to juggle their responsibilities as Slayer and Guardians with every day lives. Brady Summers is brother to Buffy and Brooke, boyfriend to Alice. When they and all of his friends face the dangers of Sunnydale, he is not willing to let anyone he loves die again, having been training to become a hunter. When his ex-girlfriend Bianca Fordham comes to town and turns into a vampire, he is her obsession; it puts Alice in danger as they are together. Eric Rosenberg is brother to Willow; both will soon discover they both have an infinity for witchcraft. Eric is boyfriend with Buffy, never willing to let his friends and family get hurt, always willing to help even if he gets hurt in the process. Wyatt Pratt is the immortal witch that has helped the Scoobies in every way. But when his evil vampire brother Spike comes to town to try to get him to turn evil, it puts Brooke in danger, as Wyatt and Brooke are soulmates and meant to be. Carmen Chase is a witch, sister to Cordelia, struggling to control her powers that grow constantly. She is lover/soulmate to Angel, so when he loses his soul, Carmen is his obsession and she takes the blame, though she is trying to maintain a normal life.

Eric Rosenberg is brother to Willow, boyfriend to Buffy, as both siblings get a handle over their powers, and Eric help fights with more than just magic. Wyatt Pratt is immortal witch mentor to the Scoobies, brother to Spike, boyfriend to Brooke, always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone, including people damaged. Carmen Chase is a witch, sister to Cordelia, struggling with her ever growing powers and relationship with Angel, willing to leave Sunnydale for both family and lover.
