Lia Sully was no Scientist or Marine. She was a Medical Student before she decided to go to Pandora with her Older Brother; Ex-Marine Jake Sully, and drive her Avatar Body that her other Brother, Dr. Tom Sully, had gotten made for her and was going to surprise her about being selected to go to Pandora as his Plus One since the Avatar Program was lacking a Doctor, and had been looking through the list of potential Doctors, and Medical Students on Earth. It was just their luck that Dr. Sully had a genius Younger Sister who could have already been a Doctor, but due to a lack of confidence, Lia had held herself back.

Eloise Sully is the younger sister of Tommy and Jake Sully. She's a recent graduate in zoology and was able to get accepted into the Avatar program alongside her brother Tommy. After Tommy's death, she and Jake go to Pandora together.
