[ONGOING;REWRITTEN]
Hanbin has always pushed himself to be the best, but no matter how hard he tries, Hao is always one step ahead-effortlessly scoring higher, understanding concepts faster, and never seeming to struggle the way Hanbin does. To Hanbin, Hao is his greatest rival, the person he has to surpass.
But to Hao? Hanbin isn't a rival at all. He doesn't see their grades as a competition-if anything, he admires Hanbin's dedication. To Hao, Hanbin is something more, something special.
And that's what frustrates Hanbin the most. He wants Hao to acknowledge him as an equal, to see him as a worthy competitor. But instead, Hao just smiles at him with those soft eyes, as if Hanbin is missing the point entirely.
