Born and raised from El Salvador, 20 year old Vagatha Carmine has grew up to learn how to be a warrior by her mother Carmilla Carmine, so that she can protect her little sisters Odette and Clara from any harm since that's her wish. After a war has broke out in El Salvador with Vagatha there to help fight, she gets killed by a group of soldiers and wakes up in the Purgatory. Leader of the Exorcists (a Heaven military that consists of female soldiers) Adam, and Queen Seraphim Sera have looked through Vagatha's life with St. Peter and saw how she has the potential to become an Exorcist. Vagatha becomes recruited and runs into tough missions and challenges throughout the story along with being forced to participate in the annual Exterminations. On the way, Vagatha develops a love-hate relationship with the Second-in-Command named Lute and a sisterly relationship with her fellow Exorcists.
