I clawed at my face, trying to remove the piece of technology. "Where did it go?" I pulled at my skin, trying to feel something, anything that was there, but nothing. Just skin. "Just keep pulling at it, it always works, mousie," Jax said, patting my cheek. I glared up at him. "Shut the @$&+ up." ~•~•~ The first thing I remembered when I came here was falling. Then I come here and I'm still falling. I bought some VR headset, put it on, and it cost me my future. Now, I'm stuck with people who aren't exactly people, an teeth-and-eyeball AI, and some annoying periwinkle rabbit. I've become a little muse of a mouse, supposed to be some sort of artistic inspiration. Yeah, right. But music is my safe space, and I was sent here with a flute and a purpose: to bring sound to the circus. I can either become the conductor or let people see me as nothing more than a statue in some museum. Y/N's fall came to an abrupt stop as their body hit the ground, except the ground felt rather soft. They groaned almost inaudibly, rubbing their arm as they lifted themselves onto their knees. ???: "Heh, looks like someone fell for me~" The sudden snarky remark led Y/N to snap their eyes open in confusion, staring down at the cartoon character who lay inches from their face. A periwinkle rabbit, who looked awfully lanky even when laid down, smiled charmingly at Y/N with his yellow teeth. Y/N blinked at the sight of the rabbit's teeth, slowly standing themselves up with their weak legs as the rabbit did the same. ???: "Welcome to the circus, sweetheart.
