It's been 5 years since Sweeney left the pie shop behind and Mrs Lovett again for that matter. The Judge was dead, his revenge was now over. However running from Mrs Lovett's love had been the hardest of all. He didn't want to start up his new life so soon, he had run away fearing he might have fallen for the baker. He had run and left her, leaving only a note behind. Now he returns yet again after all these years, seeking forgiveness from Mrs Lovett. But was it all too late?

The Judge and Lucy are dead. The revenge is done. So, now what? Does he go to the sea with her, to live happily ever after? Or should he end her life as well? What happens beyond the tale if Mrs. Lovett were to survive? This story flows in two themes : "the Chase" and "By the Sea". This is a rewrite from my past fanfic, Haunted Dreams, on fanfic.net. But with nothing to do and no blood to spill, he begins to notice things about the baker for the first time. But he doesn't care. No. Not at all.
