In which Merlin is court sorcerer, and the knights bet that they can beat Merlin in a fight. Merlin happily accepts the challenge, knowing well that the knights of Camelot don't stand much of a chance against him. He is the most powerful sorcerer in the world after all. Merlin is Prince Arthur's servant like he has been for the past almost three years. However, the air between them changes gradually, and an unexpected romance is born. This is an alternate storyline where Gwen and Arthur never get married and Arthur doesn't die as young as he did. Takes place around the time period of Season 3, at a time when Morgana is evil but is still putting on the facade that she is good, but Merlin and Gaius know the truth, and Gwen is very suspicious.
