This is a slight rewrite/retelling of my old Beetlejuice fic "Being Dead Doesn't Sound So Bad"! Y/n has been babysitting Lydia since she was ten and Y/n was 17. The two are close friends and Y/n has been there for Lydia no matter what. Y/n was there when Lydia started middle school and high school, when she was sick, and when her mother passed away. It was hard for Lydia, but Y/n was there for her no matter the time or cause. A month after the funeral of Lydia's mother, Charles and Lydia Deetz moved out of their old house and into a new one. Charles asks if Y/n can watch Lydia for a week. Y/n of course says yes, but some strange things happen in the new house while he's gone.
