Grand Duke Chaim was a deity of light and goodness, A first-born deity, he emerged from the abyss and created the world we now know as the universe. He was a beautiful and divine being. Ankou, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. The Lord of Death was a deity of darkness and evil, unable to touch any living being without it withering away in his hands. As different as they are they are dependent on eachother. Without Life there cannot be Death and without Death Life becomes meaningless. Nonetheless, they never thought they would ever end up in each other's paths.
