❣ A lot of things change when two people meet. Whether those changes are for the better, or the worse, is for them to decide ❣ When I - Riley Hayes - started my senior year, there were a lot of things that I never anticipated would happen. For example, I never thought that an ebullient British boy - who resembled a model - would move in next door. Or that he would eat my beloved food. Or that I would scare him with a fake gun. This is a story of full of pranks, friendship and living life to its fullest.

"Count the memories, not the calories." - Nothing says home like the smell of freshly baked bread. Except in Maya position, it's a bakery. Maya (pronounced Mae-ya) is just a normal 18 year old girl helping her mother run their bakery, which is - simply called 'The Bakery'. It's a family business that has been going strong for 30 years. It's extremely well known - to be honest, it's unlikely that Russia don't know about it by now. Everyone in Maya's old high school would badger her to get them free cakes so they could "throw them at the teachers" but everyone knows they wanted to stuff their faces. Maya never agreed. While she was in school, she was seen as smart, confident and kind, which would be a reasonable description of her. Over the year she's been in work, she managed to scrape up enough money to buy herself a small one-bedroom apartment in the city. Although she only has a couch and numerious baking supplies, she's making do for now. But a sudden question hits her ... Is this really what she wants?

He lit his cigarette, I lit nothing. He drank alcohol, I drank water. He smirked, I smiled. He didn't love me, I didn't love him. He and I together wouldn't last a day. And then the game started... He said he found me intriguing, unique, and interesting because I didn't swoon over him. "You and me Grey, let's play a game. We'll date and in three months time I promise you will fall for me. When you fall in love with me between that time span, I win. If in any way you were to win I'll give up all the alcohol, cigarettes, and player ways." It was a game I wasn't willing to lose, but all games had accidents and consequences. It takes a broken heart to know how to break a heart.
