Every year, one "lucky" man or woman is chosen to leave their homes and families and travel to the wall around our country that separates us from the others. We call them, Xepted. Lue and Caleb were childhood best friends. They did everything together, and they were inseparable. At least that's what they thought. When Lue was twelve, she was in a bad car accident that stole half her memory, leaving her in a coma for two weeks. In that time, Caleb had to move and left Lue behind, wishing she would remember him. When Caleb was 16, he joined the army, and now three years later, Caleb finally came home and moved back to California, where him and Lue reunite. But what will happen when Lue doesn't remember him, and on top of that, hates him? Caleb will have to try to fight to have his best friend back, and slowly falling for her in the process.
