Ever since she was a child, Melody has dreamed of following in her famous mother's footsteps and becoming a singer. But there's one problem-her voice. Convinced she doesn't have what it takes, Melody starts to lose faith in her dream. Everything changes when she crosses paths with people from a completely different world than her own. Through new friendships, raw talent, and a fresh take on music, Melody begins to discover that maybe her voice isn't the problem-it's how she's been taught to hear it. A/N: I've been inspired by a Tumblr post from years ago. If there's similarities with other stories, that's may be why.

She moaned low and breathy, like something just beneath a prayer. The sound didn't seem coy. It felt possessed. Jacob stumbled back behind a tree, his pulse hammering in his throat. His lips ajar. He didn't even remember breathing. The crucifix beneath his shirt felt like ice against his chest. He gripped it anyway. The metal biting into his palm. He told himself he hadn't seen what he saw. ************* In Little Harmonie, purity is worshiped, sin is hunted, and witches burn. Father Jacob should condemn Delilah. Instead, he craves her. Her beauty tempts him, her power unsettles him, and her darkness feels too much like his own. But the deeper he falls, the uglier the truth bleeds out: the town is rotten, the sermons are lies, and the real monsters don't just lurk in the woods... they wear holy robes. In a place that calls itself pure, obsession is holy, and love is the most dangerous curse of all.

SEQUEL TO THE BRIGHT ROOM ----- A murdered elder. A conspiracy among the local underground authorities. Malformed foundlings scattered in the desert. An ancient vampire friend somehow connected to it all. That's too much to handle even for Randy, a famously efficient vampire fixer, even with all the surprises he hides under his old-school duster. But his new partner, Clara, a world-weary executive assigned to watch over him, might be more trouble than help, especially with the tension between them that somehow even co-feeding cannot ease. Meanwhile, vampire hunter Gareth and whatever-the-hell-she-is-now Samantha try to navigate their new... business relationship, with all its emotional complexity (you've read my previous novel, right?), while Sam's mysterious powers develop, her sins come back to haunt her, and her best friend Cassie is still missing. To find her, they need to turn every stone the vampires hide under. But turning every stone is very much against the rules of vampiric society that Randy and Clara are defending. Will they be able to figure out they are all solving the same mystery, before something irreversible happens? And if they do, will they fix the underground world... or turn it into ash? This is another of my nesting dolls -- this time, an erotic horror/dark romance hides inside a mystery novel inside an urban fantasy. Seems simpler than the last one? Well, no luck, the existential dread is still there. If you're here from the prequel, to check what happened after the epilogue, this part starts in chapter 3. Melting. This is a work in progress, and a lot can still change. It's mature -- though, for now, not as hard on the reader as the previous book... yet the cogs in my head are spinning fast to fix that in the future. How kinky can a blood farm get? I am not sure yet, but it will be so much fun to find out. TEMPORARILY ON HOLD -- BE BACK IN A FEW WEEKS.

** Jamie lowered himself so that his face met mine. "Are you stupid?" he spat, cocking his head to the side. "Jamie!" I cried between gasps. "You're hurting me." Pulling my head forward a few inches, he then slammed it back against the wall. My ears began to make a sharp ringing sound, forcing me to close my eyes just to try and silence the pain. ** Isobel Tully accepts her abusive relationship as something that's meant to be, a karmic consequence of her past. She believes wholeheartedly that she deserves nothing better than her life with Jamie... But then she meets local musician Will. Kind, funny, insanely attractive Will... and he just so happens to find out her secret. As her existence at home becomes more and more unbearable, Isobel must decide if she's willing to risk her life for the opportunity to have the one she's always wanted, but will she get tangled up in a web of lies before she gets the chance? Content Warning: There are some very descriptive scenes of physical, emotional and sexual abuse/ violence. There are also descriptions of rape which could be upsetting. This story is not fully edited or spellchecked as of yet so please let me know if you find any errors or contradictions in the comments.

Evelyn Hartwell creates beautiful dresses for a living, but she somehow always finds herself in the ugliest corners of Brickhaven. Smoke-filled speakeasies. Alleyways with blood on the walls. All because she can't stop sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. She's soft-hearted, naive, and impulsive. And in a city ruled by two rival crime families, these can get a girl killed. Her Aunt Clara tries to keep her safe, hidden, quiet. But Evelyn has never been good at keeping her head down. One reckless act of kindness goes terribly wrong and shatters everything she thought she knew. A gun is raised. A name from a past she never knew is spoken. And the life she knew goes up in smoke. Her aunt is lying. Her past is wrong. And two powerful families suddenly want her under their protection...or control. Evelyn finds herself pulled into the gilded, dangerous world of the Crowe family. They say she's safest with them, but Evelyn is done being caged. And the Crowes make it impossible to breathe. Dominic - warm smile, passionate devotion, a seductive kind of danger that feels like falling. Sebastian - cold eyes, steady hands, a quiet command that crawls beneath her skin. Both hiding things. Both watching her. Both wanting to keep her in their grasp for reasons she can't decipher. Caught between warring families, two men who could ruin her, and a past she never knew she inherited, Evelyn must decide what she's willing to give up: freedom, heart, or life.
