That is all until Hyrule's neighboring nation, Gerudia, conducted a large scale invasion of its surrounding countries. Time has passed. Hyrule is getting rebuilt. Zelda on the other hand is not quite sure what to do. She is no longer a princess, She's a queen with responsibilities. A dark force is looming. Old friends are getting rediscovered but that boy. That man. Link. There's an unfinished story with him. This is my take on the universe. There will be new characters that aren't canon. There will be a few POV swaps but let's see if I can make this a cohesive story.

It has been 100 years since the Great Calamity befell the land of Hyrule, leaving the once prosperous kingdom in ruin. After a century of slumber, Link wakes up alone with no memory of who he is. The voice of the long lost Princess Zelda calls to him, telling him to save her kingdom. With nothing but his courage and his name, he takes on the responsibility to put it back on track. But as his memories begin to creep to the surface, he soon finds not all is as simple as he once thought. Will he be able to cut himself off from his feelings to complete his quest? Or will he be swallowed by them, as every new memory unlocks another secret buried in his heart? A novelization of BOTW's story. Link did all he had to do. He defeated Calamity Ganon he activated and completed all the shrines. He was done. However when Princess Zelda perishes after the battle with Ganon she has one clear dying request: Link has to be the next ruler of Hyrule.
